TMRC-Carbon Film Resistor
High-purity ceramic rods (e.g., alumina ceramics) are typically adopted as the substrate. Featuring high temperature resistance, excellent insulation, and stable thermal expansion coefficient, this component serves as the rigid support framework for the resistor, ensuring structural stability under varying operating temperatures.
The carbon film layer is formed through a high-temperature vacuum coating process. Hydrocarbon gases (such as methane and propane) are introduced into a vacuum chamber and thermally decomposed. The resulting carbon atoms are then deposited evenly onto the surface of the ceramic substrate, forming a thin, conductive carbon film. The thickness and resistivity of this film directly determine the basic resistance value of the component: thinner films correspond to higher resistance values.
